Blue Ridge Hotel Textiles Boosts its Use of Recycled Materials

Blue Ridge Hotel has been awarded the Global Recycled Standard certification for Home Textiles Bedding as it introduces additional recycled products and processes.

The international full-product standard sets requirements for recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. Tim Keegan, SVP of Blue Ridge Hotel states “We are committed to increasing our already significant use of recycled packing, fabric, filling and shipping materials throughout supply chain.

Blue Ridge Hotel continues to increase transparency for its use of recycled fibers while aiming to reduce the harmful impact of production on people and the environment. We provide assurances through GRS that our products are processed in a more climate-friendly way, which we do without increasing costs. The company is proud of holding GRS certification along with its other environmentally focused certifications”.

Each stage of production is required to be certified, beginning at the recycling stage and ending at the last point of manufacturing and shipping.
